I was supposed to post something a few days ago and didn't. So here is something I did today. Not a 100% out of my art block though.
I was inspired by this because a friend has a digital plethora of collected photography for reference. As I was going through it I saw one that really burned into my brains. When I got home I had to do something with it so I'm happy to say this pose is from memory.
I wish I could post what I've done in my life drawing class but unfortunately they are too big for my scanner and I don't have a good camera.

To me this is a changeling type of demon. It did it's best but did not quite get the human female down. (hence my not adding detail to the bewbs

among other things). I DON't UNDERSTAND SHADOWS!! *kicks shadows in the face*
Left the sketch behind the ink and all the messy bits. I thought it added character. Yay for gimp editing! Well, I talk too much hope you like.
Microns and mechanical pencil.
Feminine and ferocious. I like the powerful hands and she has nice form. Can't distinguish between micron and pencil due to the color. Cool look.
Talk about burned into the brain (I left the page open on my laptop at work, this was bound to happen)~Soccer kickin' shadows in da face!"oooo!"
I cannot use ballpoint for the life of me, I think people that can get shady and dynamic with ballpoints are awesome, I've always really liked the look of finished pieces. I used to use them to doodle all the time as kid but then my mom bought me some microns when I was 10 and boom, hooked. The fine tip of them though is starting to become more of an issue for me because I have a lot of trouble steadying my right hand that just kind of got shaky over time. I am hoping this is the extent of it because it becomes bothersome and I have completely ruined stuff before. I don't think it's noticeable in my stuff though.. I hope o.o
AND YES, they are ridiculously overpriced ._. I always complain about it when I go to the art supply warehouse XD anyway! You're very welcome for the inspirations, and thank you for your inspiration
I think along similar lines when I see some pen maestros (which i sure as heck am not one of)
Lookin forward to your future creations! Ciao.
(i might need to check myself in somewhere to get treatment.. I think im'a emote overloader )
